From the end of July to the end of August 2019, I went to Pakistan. My parents are immigrants from Pakistan to the U.S and we go there to meet family quite often. This year, there were three large events planned within the month. One of my cousins was getting married, Eid Al Adha was coming up and Pakistan Independence Day was also approaching. We were immersed in my cousin's marriage for a long time, because culture there dictates way too many people need to be at the wedding ceremonies. I believe the wedding had several hundred guests. Eid Al Adha was quite fun, as I've never gone to Pakistan during the event, so I got to do some unique things, such as sacrificing goats or watching a cow getting skinned. We also went out at night to see how the Pakistani people celebrate their independence day. We were rather busy during the trip, and even though I got incredibly sick, it was a good experience.
